You’d be hard-pressed to find a bike from this era in better condition. Great as a commuter, trainer, first ride, or n+1, it’s begging to be ridden! The Shimano LX Sport groupset was on the higher end of the spectrum and can be run indexed (1 click per shift, current setup) or friction, if you’d prefer to run more than seven gears in the back. The Shimano Exage hubs come laced to double-walled rims and feel pretty bomb-proof, and updated tires make this ride with a much more supple feel than you would have found in the late 80’s. The steel frame is as smooth as ever and is just waiting for a rider!
